VAQ-33 Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 33.
Known as the 'Knight Hawks' are home based at
NAS Quonset Point, Rhode Island and have the
distinction of being 'The Last of the Spads'.

The detachment flies the EA-1F, Spad, used quite
extensively throughout the Korean War.

The aircraft is equipped with electronic jamming
gear, used to confuse enemy radar trying to plot
the position of our own aircraft.
