Independence. Transferred in May 1963 to
COMCAR Div 4. Took short Med Cruise in 1962
on board Indy. Main stops were in Naples,
Cannes (nearly whole month of July 1962),
Corfu, Greece, Bari, Italy, Genova, Italy
and Gilbralter on way home. |

immediately was transferred to X division,
ran the TV station WIND-TV until we were
in Viet Nam, then transferred to Master
at Arms and served there until
I left the ship in October 1966.
