Master At Arms Force 1966 - 1967
U.S.S. INDEPENDENCE

The Master at Arms has traditionally been a vital
man aboard a Navy Ship. In the earliest days, he
kept the keys to the musket and cutlass locker,
however today's Master at arms has much more
responsibility than that. INDY'S MAA's perform
Security duties, like maintaining general order and
discipline, conducting investigations, assisting at
Captain's Mast and Courts Martial, conducting
restricted men's muster and maintaining traffic
control in areas where meetings are being held
or dignitaries are present.
